Kids Jack-O'-Lantern Luminary Jars

Spooky Season is upon us! Kick off the festivities with this fun Kids Hand Building Class! By the end of the class, every kid will have made an adorable jack-o-lantern lidded jar.

We will walk our students step by step through the process. There is no previous experience working with clay necessary. We will cover some hand building vocabulary such as slab, slip & score, and coils. Students can get as creative as they want with what is "carved" out of their jars. We will make a lid, and add a pumpkin stem as the handle.

After this, the clay that we use will need to be fired twice in our kiln. Because of this, you'll leave the final steps up to us! We will fire your pieces, then we will dip them in an orange glaze and fire them again. After that is completed we will give you …
