Kids Clay Project w/ Shawn

Join us for Kids Hand building Class! We have our skilled instructor, Shawn, who has been doing ceramics for 5+ years. He also has experience working with kids in the past teaching preschool music. For the month of June, the kids workshop that he will be offering is a two hour animal planter pot.

Kids will be taught some hand building basics such as how to make slab, scoring and slipping to join clay, and how to form different shapes. What they will end up with is an adorable cylindrical pot with feet. Then, using what they learned in class they can add different shapes to make their pot resemble the animal of their choice! Finishing touches will include adding feet or black dots for eyes.

After your class we will bisque, dip your students finished piece in clear glaze and put them through the final firing process. Once all…
