About the event
Join us for this kid focused hand building event on August 14th from (12-2). This class will be taught by Alex who graduated from WMU with a degree in Art. While the instruction will be geared toward kids, any age or skill level is welcome.
For this class, students will be provided with slabs of clay that they will then use to build their pot. Using templates, they will cut out pieces and assemble. Their instructor will teach them how to score and slip to join their clay. This is not only helpful for assembling their pot but for decorating as well!. Students can get creative this way by adding elements to really make their pot unique!
Once the work is completed. The rest is up to us. Students will be allowed to pick one color for their pot. Our talented staff will then fire, glaze, and re-fire your work.…
