About the event
Join us for our Beginner Slab Building Class. We have our skilled instructor, Alex, who graduated from Western Michigan with a general art degree.
In this course, student will be given a demo of how to use our in studio slab roller. They will also be shown how to prepare their slabs. Then, as a class we will cut our pieces to make our own snack tray (trinket tray works too!). Get creative with shapes and adding more compartments.
Some hand building techniques that we will learn include scoring and slipping as we join our slabs as well as how to use different tools to help refine our piece. After your class, our talented staff will bisque, dip your pieces in clear glaze, and put them through the final firing process. When that is complete we will call you to come pick up your completed tray.
